With decades of experience as an estate planning and tax attorney, John J. Buttita has represented high-net-worth individuals, family investment entities, and family offices to address their income, estate, gift, and charitable planning needs. Recognizing that each client’s situation is unique, John collaborates with clients to develop comprehensive, tailor-made plans aimed at achieving their objectives while optimizing for tax efficiency and creditor protection. John often works with clients for years, experiencing life and family transitions with his clients and their families. This experience has taught John the importance of providing clear and concise plans that incorporate flexibility to address issues that inevitably arise over time.

John previously served as Chair of the private client practice groups at Altheimer & Gray from 1994 until 2003 and Jenner & Block from 2003 until 2014. John also served as Chair of the Lurie Children’s Hospital Legacy Advisors Executive Committee from 2004 until 2014.
